A new Indian food stall opened at Varinice Coffee Shop near where I live. I thought I’d give it a try. Plus, I was feeling a little lazy to cook dinner. We’ve all had those moments.
Like the Yong Tau Foo dish in my previous post, Truly Mine, Indian Rojak has the same sort of concept of eating.
A wide variety of food. All you do is take a plate and a pair of tongs provided and choose what you want. The chosen pieces get cut up and served on a big platter with slices of cucumber, green chillies and onions. And with a vibrantly red spicy peanut sauce for dipping.
Some Indian Rojak places have really good dipping sauces. So good that sometimes what they give is not enough because you would drench the Rojak pieces completely in it. If you dine in, don’t be shy to walk back to the stall with the empty bowl and ask for more. Usually the mamak (Indian man) would obliged.
