Rolling In The Deep

11 Oct

A classic tale of a broken and bitter woman, that makes her a music genius. When I first heard an Adele song, I immediately thought, this is Alanis Morissette without the angst. You can still hear the bitterness in Adele’s voice, but its not the raw power that is Alanis. Anyway, love them both!

The makings of a good Chicken Avocado Wrap

For dinner today, I thought I get the kids involved by adding a certain amoubt of DIY element into it. The kids, of course, jumped at the idea of rolling their own wrap. They got to choose what to put in, which means, avoiding the veggies.

I need to make quick dinners on work/school days. So I bought a small roast chicken from the supermarket, which I just shredded into pieces. And, the other ingredients for the wrap were practically done.

The full spread!

Of course the kids had their own ideas of making the wrap. One put everything except the corn. Another just chicken, corn, mayo and cheese. And another just ate the corn. For me, I’m getting the whole shebang!

I had written in an earlier post that I’m not a fan of avocados. Well, I like it in a sandwich like this. It added a little creaminess and soft texture.
