I have had my share of eating lots of good Popiah. The best are the ones which are rolled to order on the spot. These are pre-rolled so it has been sitting there for a while and not as fresh. But still so good.
The filling is quite straightforward. Shredded turnips cooked in some garlic and a little spices. Chilli is added for an extra kick. Those freshly rolled popiahs will have bean sprouts, julienned cucumbers and even shrimp added.
