A little late to work this morning, not enough time for breakfast. A quick grab-and-go bite would do.
The real name for this is actually Char Siew Pau, steamed buns with char siew (barbecued pork) filling. Being a Muslim, I can’t eat pork. So the makers of this improvised to cater to Muslim consumers and came up with a “halal” version of it. Using barbecued chicken, it somehow captures the look of the real thing. And I’m told the taste is not too far off either.
