Obsession With Power

Quite recently, we Malays have a new word in our vocabulary. POWER. It somehow became widely used as an everyday word. It is basically used to describe something, mostly food, that is really really delicious. Satay Power! Roti John Power! Nasi Lemak Power! Teh Tarik Power! Burger Power! Sheesh. Everything is POWER! haha!

There once was a phrase used to tell people how good the food was and how engrossed you were eating it. The food was so good, “I didn’t even realize my mother in law walked by”. I always laugh at that phrase. It was immortalized in an old song “Lontong” by Kadir and the “somethings”, can’t remember the band name.

-hazrock, power is the rate in which energy is transferred (physics)
