Milo Energy Drink. Photo grabbed from Google Search.

This is really a tribute to Milo, a chocolate malt beverage. A “Well Loved Drink”, an accolade I feel should be given well deservingly to it. A favorite during childhood, I remembered breakfasts with a cup of hot Milo before going to school. And in adulthood, it is just warm and comforting whenever life stresses hit. It can also be served cold, chilled in the fridge or poured over ice.

I had a variation of the Ice Milo drink with dinner last night. It is called Milo Dinosaur, sounds really funny when I first heard about it. It became quite a hit and now it is sold in lots of coffee shops. Milo with ice and a spoonful or two of powdered Milo sprinkled over it and served in a huge tumbler. The powdered Milo won’t dissolve, and it gave the drink a nice chewy texture.

And more recently, someone topped that and the Milo became Milo Godzilla! Now that made me laugh. Milo Dinosaur with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Whoa! Now that’s what I call a drink of epic proportions! So what’s next? Milo Pterodactyl? Our paleontologist friends will be so proud.
