On The Griddle

13 Jun

Someone once had read by mistake when I wrote GRIDDLE as GIRDLE. Sheesh! Completely different things! That was awkward. Let’s digress..

A weekend breakfast I enjoy making is PANCAKES. They are easy to make from scratch, basic everyday ingredients. And can be whipped up in a flash.

Pancakes with strawberries macerated in balsamic vinegar and a touch of sugar

Pancakes with a homemade blueberry sauce

A Hazrock Special consisted of pancakes, sausages and scrambled eggs

A Sleepover Breakfast for the kiddies and their cousins

Some might say I have turned into a short order cook. Well, ok! If that’s what you kids are calling it nowadays.

-hazrock, about to flip!

Talk about perfect pancakes! I’m jealous. Mine never look all evenly browned and beautiful like that. What’s your secret Haz? Out with it! πŸ™‚ Seriously though, I like the look of these ones..mine are a bit too thick and have a cake-like consistency that’s nice, but not ideal.

Haha! Honestly, mine didnt come out perfect every time. Only those perfect ones get to be in pictures. The rest, well, just shut up and eat. Lol!
I think the flame should not be too hot. And let the pancakes cook slowly. And don’t flip until you see bubbles all over the pancake. And if your griddle is non-stick, no need to put oil or butter.

      At least I think so… πŸ™‚
