Mee Siam at Makan Bagus, Tampines Round Market

Weekend breakfast again. Mee Siam (Siam Noodles, Siam as in the old name of Thailand). I don’t know why this dish is called that. Maybe it’s because of the gravy which is has spicy sour taste. And chilli paste is added to for that extra kick. Usually this dish is served with chives sprinkled over the top, a small lime for a zesty squeeze and a hard boiled egg. I had asked for a fried egg because I don’t like hard boiled eggs.

One thing that I’m sure of, if you go to Thailand, I guarantee you won’t find this dish.
